Privacy Policy

1. What this policy covers
This policy explains what information Salient Drop (a product of Salient Innovations) collects when you use drop.salientin.com, why we collect it, and how it's handled. It applies to anyone who creates an account, whether on Starter, Pro, Max, or a Custom plan.
2. Information you give us directly
- Account details: name, email address, and business details you enter during signup and onboarding.
- Brand voice inputs: example captions or posts you paste in, your website URL, and any screenshots you upload for tone and style analysis.
- Campaign inputs: the briefs, goals, and preferences you type in to generate content.
- Uploaded assets: reference images, product photos, and brand kit files you add to your asset library.
- Support and enterprise inquiries: anything you send us via the contact form or email, including your name, email, company, and message.
3. Information from connected accounts
If you choose to connect Instagram (optional, and only available for Business/Business accounts per Meta's requirements), we access your profile details, recent posts, stories, tagged posts, and comments through Composio, Meta's authorized integration partner, solely to build and refine your brand voice profile and, on Pro and above, to show you analytics for your own account. We never post on your behalf unless you explicitly use a publishing feature that requires it, and you can disconnect Instagram at any time from your account settings.
4. Payment information
Subscription and top-up payments are processed by Flutterwave. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded or failed, the transaction reference, and the last four digits of the card used, we don't receive or store your full card number. Starting a Pro trial involves a small card-verification charge handled entirely by Flutterwave.
5. How we use your information
- To generate campaigns, images, video, and quick content in your brand voice;
- To build and refine your brand voice profile from the sources you've connected;
- To process payments, manage your subscription, and enforce plan limits;
- To send transactional emails (billing receipts, calendar reminders, account notifications);
- To monitor and improve the reliability and quality of the Service;
- To detect abuse, fraud, and violations of our Terms of Service.
6. Who we share information with
We don't sell your data. To operate the Service, information is shared with the following processors, each acting under their own data protection commitments:
- Supabase — hosts your account, business data, and uploaded files;
- OpenRouter, Anthropic, and Google — process your briefs and brand voice context to generate text content;
- fal.ai — processes prompts and reference images to generate images and video;
- Composio — brokers the connection to your Instagram account, if connected;
- Firecrawl — converts your website into readable content for brand voice analysis, if provided;
- Flutterwave — processes payments and manages recurring billing.
Some of these providers are based outside Nigeria (including the United States), so using the Service involves your information being transferred internationally. Each provider is contractually required to protect your data.
7. Data retention and your rights
We keep your account and generated content for as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable period afterward to comply with financial record-keeping obligations. You can request a copy of your brand voice data and generated content, or ask us to delete your account and associated data, by contacting us (see below). We'll act on deletion requests except where we're required to retain information for legal or tax purposes.
8. Cookies and sessions
We use cookies and browser storage strictly to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences (for example, light or dark mode). We don't use third-party advertising trackers.
9. Security
Access to your business data is restricted by row-level security at the database level, so one account can't read another's data. We use industry-standard encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) for all traffic to and from the Service.
10. Children's privacy
Salient Drop is a business tool and is not directed at, or knowingly used by, anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Service evolves. If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email or through the Service before they take effect.
12. Contact
Questions about this policy, or requests to access, export, or delete your data, can be sent to hello@salientin.com.
